Born a printer's daughter, Banana
Banners owner Robin Riendeau has been making signs most of her life. Designated sign-maker at birthday parties
and other events when very young, Robin got her first paid assignment at the age of 12 making signs for the local
Little League's baseball field. It was her summer job then: one sign a day at $4.00 a sign. Having been employed always in the industry, she decided to open Banana Banners in 1992. Opening the shop over her garage for the first three years, Robin eventually moved to the present facility on Main Street in Bowdoinham, Maine, and subsequently bought and renovated it. "It's still being renovated to accomodate our growth and our customers' continuing needs. The vehicle bay was expanded to house very large trucks, and a new painting room was just added recently. |
